HOLIDAY OF SPRING

1st day of 1st month by lunar calendar. Every year at the end of winter season, in a threshold of spring, Chinese people traditionally solemn and gladly celebrates the first in a year traditional holiday - holiday of Spring. In the past this holiday was named "Sin'nyan'" (New Year), because on a lunar calendar (this system of chronology is accepted in history of China since olden days) a holiday of Spring just was on the first day of New Year.

After Sin'khay of revolution (1911) new style of the system of chronology began to be used in Chine. For a difference from New Year on new style New Year on a lunar calendar was renamed in the holiday of Spring (he is on one of days from the third ten-day period of January for the second ten-day periods of February on new style of the system of chronology).

You can celebrate new year many times: one in the own country, the second - in China, the third - still any where. But it not so is simple as it seems, read the china visa information for more detail.
